In Depth
Food and service are amongst the best on the island, and breakfast on your private balcony is a particular highlight of any stay at Calabash. There are a number of restaurants to choose from, each of which is very produce-led, championing the flavour-rich bounty of the sunny island of Grenada. Most of the fruit and vegetables are sourced from their local organic-certified farm, L’Esterre, in the north of the island. Rhodes restaurant offers fine dining whilst the Beach Club is more relaxed and the ideal lunch setting, or venture to Izakaya to enjoy a Japanese-inspired menu.
The Diving
Calabash has a fantastic on site dive centre, Scuba Tech, who look after guests immaculately. Operating with small 4:1 ratios, divers are looked after with every care, and the team are full of enthusiasm to showcase the underwater wonders of Grenda. With the resort’s jetty, boarding the dive boat couldn’t be easier, and Calabash’s location means that Scubatech can access sites on the Caribbean and Atlantic side of the island. Nitrox is available for certified divers and a full array of PADI Courses is offered for those looking to get certified.
Beyond the Reef
Calabash offers a wealth of facilities for those who aren’t interested in just relaxing by the beach or pool.
