Dive Into Lembeh
"World-famous dive sites Hairball and Aw Shucks just happen to make up Dive Into Lembeh’s house reef. For those pre-booking diving, house reef dives are complimentary. " - Louisa, Reefscape Travel Director
Overview
Dive Into Lembeh is located at the northern end of the Lembeh Strait, in Kasawari bay, with direct access to two of the most famous dive sites in Lembeh: Hairball and Aw Shucks. In addition to this, its northern location means reduced boat traffic, making it a quieter corner of the strait. The resort has been specifically designed for macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers and with only a small number of bungalows, everything at Dive Into Lembeh happens on a more personal scale.
In Depth
The resort has been cleverly designed so that there are sea views from all nine bungalows as well as the large swimming pool and open-air restaurant. The spacious, stand-alone bungalows have been crafted using local materials with each one having it’s own private Japanese-style Onsen (hot tub) on the balcony and bean bags, the ultimate set-up for relaxing post-dive. The experienced chefs put together a great selection of local and international cuisine, including freshly baked bread daily, and all meals are served in the open restaurant and bar.
The Diving
The dive team at Dive Into Lembeh have many years' experience and run an extremely smooth operation, with macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers in mind. The dive guides are extremely experienced in the unique underwater environments of Lembeh and are trained in camera handling. The fully equipped dive centre has a large camera room and dedicated camera rinse tanks, as well as a guest dive gear room and post-dive showers.
There are three daily dives scheduled with more than 60 dive spots to choose from, as well as direct access to Hairball and Aw Shucks from the resort for unlimited unguided dives for those booked on a full diving package. Dusk or night dives are offered daily, with the opportunity to see mating mandarin fish as well as a whole host of nocturnal species.
Beyond the Reef
Top-side, there is plenty to explore in this part of Sulawesi including trips into the Tangkoko National Park and a tour to the Minahasa highlights. Otherwise, relax by the pool with a cocktail or hang out at the beach fire pit comparing critters of the day.
