Overview
Being an adults-only resort, Hurawalhi is the ultimate romantic getaway for divers looking to sequester away in the utmost All-Inclusive luxury. The resort’s location in the middle of the Lhaviyani Atoll means that diving and snorkelling from Hurawalhi is excellent. It is also home to a spectacular undersea all-glass restaurant which is a unique dining experience.
In Depth
Hurawalhi has been designed with a modern, minimalist spin on the classic Maldivian resort style, and its rooms are fresh, stylish and soothing. Special attention has been given to creating a relaxing and spacious area to enjoy outside on your private deck, whether you opt for a beach villa or prefer to be over the water. There are 90 villas across the resort, and wide array of dining options from six different restaurants and bars too which is always encouraging whilst enjoying an All-Inclusive plan.
The Diving
Guests visiting the Lhaviyani Atoll will certainly want to make the most of the exciting diving and snorkelling whether guests prefer to snorkel the abundant house reef or go further afield to visit one of the 60+ sites within easy reach of the resort. Pro Divers are true professionals, with rigorous safety procedures and buckets of knowledge, having been operating in the atoll for many years. Most diving is done from boats which depart the resort throughout the day, generally with a single tank morning and afternoon as well as the option for two-tank trips and full day excursions – just speak with them to arrange your perfect schedule and enjoy the best of the diving in the atoll. Nitrox is available for certified divers. For beginners, or those looking to hone their skills, a full array of courses is on offer including the chance to dive with scooters or try your hand at tech diving with a rebreather.
Beyond the Reef
Many people assume that there is nothing to do in the Maldives other than lie on a beach. That is only as true as you want it to be, and for those looking to keep themselves busy, there is so much to get up to whilst staying at Hurawalhi. Escape for the day on a luxury yacht experience, dining on a sandbar in the middle of the Indian Ocean, or guests can try their hand at some deep sea fishing. There are jet skis available or the chance to fly high above the resort whilst parasailing. If looking to learn a new skill, an instructor can help with a windsurfing lesson, or guests can don their snorkel gear and head out with a paddleboard over the house reef. Of course, if you’re more the relaxation and lie on the beach camp... we couldn’t recommend the spa more highly!
