In Depth
The resort is perched slightly above water level amongst lush, tropical gardens and is made up of just 20 rooms and cottages. They are simple, yet comfortable with a touch of luxury and the Luxury Cottages have seaviews, particularly worth it for the dramatic sunsets. The Cliffside Villa sets the resort apart, being a private and luxurious sanctuary with incredible views, a private pool and complimentary butler service.
The resort centres around the swimming pool (with pool-bar) and ocean front deck, where sunset cocktails are enjoyed daily. All meals are included during a stay at Lembeh Resort and are taken at the restaurant, with breakfast and lunch being buffet and dinner a la carte. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables is produced in North Sulawesi, whilst the Celebes Sea offers some of the best seafood in all of Indonesia so delicious and fresh food is always on offer at Lembeh Resort.
The Diving
The dive centre, Critters at Lembeh, is one of the most impressive in the area and offers extensive facilities, exclusive service and exceptional dive guides. When it comes to muck diving, it is only as good as the dive guide, and the guides at Critters have a combined total of over 70,000 dives in the Lembeh Strait. They go through rigorous resort training programmes with multiple levels of critter training and their ability to spot the critters is mesmerising. Included in this is training with the in-house marine biologist and photo pro, enabling them to be able to provide the best experience and service to their guests.
The dive centre is found at the heart of the resort and includes a photo centre, camera room ad gear area, alongside the welcoming team on hand to help with anything. All diving takes place from the custom-built boats, with thorough briefings taking place onboard with their famous critter log so that guests can be prepared for what that might see. The boat heads back to the resort each time meaning guests can choose which sites and what times they want to head out. There is the option for up to three dives a day, plus night dives which are even more weird and wonderful.
A range of courses is in offer, as well as private guiding which is much sought-after by photographers. Capturing critters in the muck can be particularly rewarding, but often best with a private guide which Lembeh Resort are well versed in providing.

When not diving, Lembeh Resort offers a range of excursions to explore the incredible scenery, rich culture and unique flora and fauna of the region. The Lembeh Foundation team protect and preserve the nature of North Sulawesi and guests can volunteer with the ongoing projects including clean-up dives, assisting with fundraising from abroad or helping to build the first waste recycling facility on Lembeh Island.
