In Depth

This small boutique hotel just oozes personality with quirky colourful interiors and spacious rooms. Great for families and couples alike, the staff really go above and beyond to make sure that you will have the best possible stay. Guests will have the choice of the more traditional villas or modern Cinnamon Suites. There are two restaurant options, with a highlight being the beach grill surf and turf night. At the main restaurant, the breakfast burrito is particularly excellent as you enjoy the Caribbean breeze from the terrace. The Savvy’s beach club is a great place to relax during the day dipping into the perfect turquoise waters in front of the hotel.

The Diving

Run by Helen and Phil, Dive Grenada is the on site dive centre who will look after you immaculately during your stay at Mount Cinnamon. They operate small groups of a maximum 4 divers to 1 guide, and know all the best sites to access in the local area. Divers have the option of a two-tank morning or an afternoon dive, as well as night dives which can be arranged based on demand. The comfortable dive boat launches straight from the beach and most sites are within a 20 minute journey from the shore. The local reefs are a proliferation of colour, with dancing anthias, cruising turtles and the chance to find seahorses in the sea grass. For wreck enthusiasts, trips to the famous Bianca C or the ‘Titantic of the Caribbean’ can be arranged too where larger pelagic species lurk.

Beyond the Reef

One of the reasons we love Grenada so much is that there is plenty to get up to when you aren’t diving. We can arrange visits to Grenada’s chocolate factory, sailing trips to local islands, or nature walks in the rainforest. At the resort itself, indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy a spot of tennis. We would particularly recommend taking out hobie cats or kayaks around sunset when the area is at its most beautiful and dolphins can be spotted in the bay.
