Overview

In the heart of the North Male Atoll, All-Inclusive resort OBLU Helengeli is a diver’s paradise with access to 30+ of the most famous sites in the country, from shallow sloping reefs to wall dives and channel dives. In Depth

OBLU Helengeli is a great value option for divers looking to explore the Maldives. Diving and snorkelling are focal points of the resort, but there are a wealth of additional activities available too for those who are land-lovers. The rooms are semi-detached with private outdoor decks and direct beach access, with the added bonus of having an open air bathroom. The interiors are fun with plenty of pops of colour and the option of a private pool is available in some categories.  

The island operates a generous All-Inclusive plan which allows guests to dine around their 3 restaurant options; Helen’s (Main Bar), The Spice (Main restaurant) and Just Grill (Beach Grill - once per stay). Cocktails, wines, beers and soft drinks are included as well as a selections of activities and excursions.  

The Diving

TGI Maldives operates the dive centre and water sports at OBLU Helengeli, with a proud team of instructors and guides eager to showcase the 30+ dive sites in the vicinity. Two-tank morning dives are available or relaxed afternoon single dives, as well as night dives on the house reef. This is a five star PADI centre so the perfect spot for divers to get their next certification.  

Highlights in the area include silver tip, black tip and white tip reef sharks, turtles, rays and lobsters.  

Beyond the Reef

Diving aside, there is plenty to enjoy above the waves. Relax in the Elena Spa for a massage or facial, or head out at sunset for a spot of handline fishing. Guests who wish to explore at their own pace can borrow a stand-up paddleboard or kayak and drift over the teeming house reef.
