The Diving

Royal Davui’s in-house PADI 5 Star Gold Palm centre is the ideal setup for reaching nearby Pacific Harbour’s famous baited shark dive. On Mondays and Fridays the special shark dive takes place with two-tanks and specially trained shark feeders on hand. Divers can expect to see plenty of lemon and bull sharks as well as smaller reef sharks and a mass of fish. Shark diving aside, there is plenty to enjoy whilst diving in Beqa Lagoon and Royal Davui’s flexible schedule allows plenty of opportunity to get out to the local reefs which are all around 30 minutes away by boat. The resort has a house reef with a wreck covered in soft corals. Generally visibility is best in the morning so we recommend a 2-tank morning and then a relaxed afternoon, perhaps enjoying a snorkel on the house reef which fringes the island. The best dive sites comprise of swim-throughs, pinnacles and large coral heads covered in soft corals. Nitrox is not currently available at Royal Davui.

Beyond the Reef

Royal Davui has excellent spa facilities for those looking to kick back and unwind. The more adventurous will be pleased with the array of watersports on offer including jetski safaris, as well as the chance to hike to nearby peaks, enjoy a guided 4x4 tour or head to Navua River for a spot of white water rafting. Village visits to Naceva can be arranged, or attend a village church service to meet some rural Fijians and immerse yourself in their culture. Day trips to Suva are popular as guests can experience a bit of daily Fijian life. There is an extensive weekly schedule of complimentary activities for guests to get stuck into.
