"Soneva Fushi has the most comfortable dive boat in the world. The dhoni is equipped to the optimum luxury; hot fluffy towels, fresh fruit and hot chocolate appear as if by magic after your dive as you cruise back towards the resort discussing the day’s diving highlights. In Depth

Crafted from sustainable materials, the villas and suites at Soneva Fushi reflect their surroundings perfectly, with huge open-air bathrooms and colourful pops of linen. The accommodation is suited to large family groups and couples alike, with many different room categories to choose from. Pick the sunrise side for the most private villas with open views over the Indian Ocean. As a larger island in the Maldives, the villas are cleverly place to allow the ultimate seclusion. It can be a little overwhelming choosing your ideal room but we are on hand to weigh up the options and help you settle on the perfect choice.

The dining at Soneva Fushi is an experience in itself, with plenty of options to choose from; from intimate sittings with a hands-on approach at the sushi counter, to opulent buffets at Mihiree Meetha or listening to the waves lap on the shore whilst enjoying a beach barbecue. A particular highlight is the treetop canopy dining at Fresh in the Garden which showcases the organic produce from the island’s garden. Soneva frequently hosts Michelin-starred chefs to cook up a storm for their guests so there is no end to the gastronomic delights available.

The Diving

The dive centre, Soleni, operates the most luxurious diving experience fathomable; a true valet-service operation. Everything is looked after for guests, so that all one has to do is don your gear and take the plunge. There is a great house reef which although suffering from the inevitable bleaching, still hums with life. Octopus lurk under the Bara Bara jetty, while squadrons of eagle rays cruise by and clouds of anthias dart in and out of hard corals dotted over the reef.

Divers will undoubtedly want to get further away from the resort to dive, not least to experience the amazing service on board the dive boat as you head out to exciting nearby sites. There is a two-tank morning option as well as a daily afternoon dive and night-diving on the house reef. The team are in equal measures knowledgeable, experienced and safety-conscious, so divers could not be in better hands.

Beyond the Reef

Experiencing something unforgettable is at the core of what Soneva is all about, and they leave no stone unturned in terms of imagination when it comes to additional activities and excursions. Their Six Senses spa is outstanding, or if you are looking for something a little more unusual, try your hand at glass blowing, or have a one-on-one session at the Observatory with the residet astronomer. For those travelling as a family the private sandbank dinner is unforgettable, and of course they offer the usual wide array of water sports, as well as tennis lessons and the famous kids club; The Den which is the best in the country.
