Coralia
"Coralia is a particularly good option for solo travellers, with a very reasonable single occupancy supplement." - India, Reefscape Travel Director
Overview
Snorkellers and divers staying on board Coralia are in for a very special experience indeed. Created by the team behind Papua Explorers resort, Coralia cruises the waters of Indonesia, taking in the very best of the diving on offer and guests will be hosted with impeccable service and true Indonesian warmth.
In Depth
This 48m traditional Indonesian phinisi was designed with the diver in mind and seamlessly incorporates traditional details with comfort and functionality. With just 8 spacious, air-conditioned cabins, guests can expect to get to know those on board well and will be looked after immaculately by the enthusiastic and professional team on board. Coralia was designed in an eco-friendly manner and touches such as use of biodegradable rubbish bags, reef safe sunscreen and laundry detergent and no use of single use plastics means that divers needn’t worry about the negative impact on the marine havens the boat visits.
The Diving
Diving from Coralia runs as a well-oiled machine. Dive groups are small with a maximum 4:1 diver to guide ratio, grouped by experience level. There are two cruise directors who are certified PADI instructors and three local PADI certified dive guides who will look after you on board. Detailed briefings are conducted prior to each dive and equipment is put together by the crew. There are generally 3-4 dives per day including frequent night dives.
Most sites are shallow in parts and ideal for snorkellers. Nitrox is available for certified divers at no extra charge, and larger tanks can be arranged as well as top range equipment rental. With two instructors on board, a full range of PADI courses are available. Diving is operated from two fibreglass tenders and both snorkellers and divers are very well catered to. Snorkellers will have their own guides.
Beyond the Reef
Whilst on board, depending on the region in which guests are cruising, a couple of land excursions will be included to enjoy the highlights of the region. There are plenty of quiet spots around the boat in which to relax and enjoy the passing views or a spot of sunbathing. There is a full fish ID library for those keen on their dive logging, as well as audio/video entertainment. Massages can be arranged on the top deck too. Finally, there are kayaks and SUPs on board should you wish to explore the tranquil waters on your own.
