In Depth

Five well-appointed cabins are spread across the vessel, with the highlight being the master cabin on top deck. Each of the large double cabins has plenty of natural light, luxurious en-suite bathrooms with rain showers and is furnished with tasteful and elegant Hamptons beach house style décor. This contemporary yacht was designed based on the traditional Indonesian phinisi style but with a cruiser twist to allow ample indoor space. Dining on board is primarily on the large outdoor covered deck. The food is exceptionally good and elevates local dishes, throwing in a mix of western flavours too. The crew are so warm and friendly that after a week on board they feel like family. The experiences that the Rascal team curate for charter groups ensure that this will be the trip of a lifetime.

The Diving

Diving on board, much like all other experiences, is a luxury affair, with the experienced dive crew setting up and looking after all equipment. Divers simply don their gear and head off to discover the majesty of the region underwater. The cruise director is an instructor, and there are a couple of local dive guides on board too to assist certified divers. Diving is utterly bespoke so guests need only speak with the cruise director about their preferred schedule and what they would like to see, and he will put together a fascinating diving itinerary taking in all the highlights. Up to three dives per day can be arranged, including night diving.

Beyond the Reef

Rascal’s focus is wholeheartedly on creating unforgettable experiences for their guests. Guests can highlight their interests prior to the trip in order to ensure they have a nice range of activities and excursions in their itinerary during the charter to suit everyone. Land excursions feature heavily in Rascal itineraries, with candlelit beach barbecues, intrepid hikes, exciting snorkelling excursions and trips to local villages all being possible. Nature enthusiasts can visit Komodo dragons or birds of paradise (region dependent). On board there is also a range of water sports on offer including kayaks, stand up paddleboards and fun tubes. Massages and yoga can be arranged.
