Scubaspa Yin and Yang

Overview

Scubaspa Yin and Yang are purpose-built yachts designed for divers to be able to explore the world-class diving of the Maldives. The large, spacious vessels mean cruising at sea is extremely stable and wonderfully luxurious for relaxing between dives, also meaning it suitable for non-divers too with facilities akin to a floating hotel.   

In Depth

The yachts are modern in style and cabins are well appointed whether you go for the entry level (Seastar) or opt for one of the Manta Suites, with King-Size beds and panoramic windows. With 19 cabins onboard, this may be a little larger than the average dive liveaboard, but the beauty of Scubaspa is that they limit the number of divers onboard to 22 but you still have all the benefits of being on a larger, more spacious vessel.  

Dining takes place in the main restaurant, where you can choose to sit with other guests or for couples and honeymooners, there is also the option to eat alone. The food is delicious with differing themes each night, live cooking stations and a weekly moonlit BBQ on a deserted island. Enjoy sunset cocktails in the bar which opens on to a shaded lounge and bathing platform.

The Diving

The crème de la crème of the Scubaspa yachts is the dive set-up, and it does not disappoint. With groups of no more than 6, carefully matched together with experience and ability in mind, divers will be either on the Best of the Maldives itinerary, taking in the highlights of the central atolls, or for those with a little more experience, head on one of the Deep South itineraries for the most remote and exciting diving in the Maldives. In the deep south, sightings may include tiger, silvertip, thresher, hammerhead and plenty of reef sharks, plus the chance of a night snorkel with whale sharks!  

Beyond the Reef

When not diving and for the non-divers onboard, Scubaspa offers so much more. Onboard there is an excellent Spa, fitness room, jacuzzi, several large sundecks and open-air cinema. There are daily yoga classes plus the option for water-sports, snorkelling excursions, beach trips, fishing and local island visits.
